Music in Advertisements

One of the most important parts about advertisements, I believe, is the selection of music chosen for an advertisement. It is crucial to pick an appropriate song that will benefit the targeted customer for your product or service. There are many ways that music can influence its audience in advertisements. It can create entertainment, structure and continuity, memorability, send a musical message, or target a certain group of people.

The entertainment aspect of music helps make advertisements more appealing the viewers by making it more attractive and aesthetic. The more attractive the advertisement seems, the more likely it will engage more attention to it.

Supporting the advertisements structure and continuity is another basic attribution for music. It can emphasize dramatic moments with the advertisements.

It appears to be easier to remember music than a language or images. Some bands or companies use certain songs or rhythms all of the time so people can think of them when they hear it. Huron ads, which is good for memorization,  are the most common way that companies use music. They usually use these by getting customers to remember the companies phone number, webpage, the company name or their logo(s).

There are some song that sends a massage to people about there product. Companies would also choose  different genres of music to target a certain lifestyles groups of people or that would most likely use the product or service. Music can be able to identify certain groups with a certain musical taste. It is a good strategy for advertiser to distinguish various styles.

These different contributions to music in advertisements work together to help get draw attention to customers. Music in advertisements help motivate people socially and psychologically. It also helps companies get to there target market as well as helping their advertisement succeed.
